candied pecans go well with everything! plonk them in a salad. chuck them in a cookie mix. sprinkle over some fluffy muffins. eat them with x-factor like what cath and i are doing now. or put them in a jar, wrap it with some ribbons and give it to your friend!
and guess what! it’s so easy to make! so here we go:

preheat your oven to 160C, line a large baking tray with some baking paper. spread your pecans on the lined baking tray, squeeze about 3 tablespoons of golden syrup over it, sprinkle a little salt and pepper, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, and about 1 tablespoon of moroccan spice (a bit of cumin, ground ginger, cinnamon, allspice, cloves and cayenne) over it, mix it all together and pop them in the oven for about 5 minutes. after 5 minutes, give it a little stir so they’ve cooking evenly and put them back in the oven for another 10 minutes, or til golden (it should be bubbling with syrup too!). now quickly transfer them onto a clean sheet of baking paper, making sure they’re separated from one another. once cooled, you’ve made yourself a spicy jar of candied pecans!
